"Taxi Rewards" program a winner
The "Taxi Rewards" program was launched in the fall of 2006 by the MCCA as one more way to enrich the attendee experience. The idea was to build relationships with taxi companies and drivers, and to increase the number of cabs servicing the convention centers. The effect was felt almost immediately, with enhanced access to taxis, and new levels of hospitality, courtesy and service from drivers. The program is a powerful example of how to convert providers to ambassadors. Here's how it works: When Convention visitors are about to board a taxi, they receive a card from an MCCA Curbside Manager. The card has four categories for rating the quality of the ride: driver courtesy, vehicle cleanliness, driver's attitude toward Boston, and driver's knowledge of area roads. A rider has the option of handing the card to their driver if they feel the overall experience has been positive. The driver is then eligible to enter that month's $500 prize drawing. Of course, the more cards a driver collects, the better chance there is to win a prize. Result? Consistently positive rides for your attendees. The program has created long-lasting loyalty and great relationships with the taxi drivers of Boston. More taxis are now serving Boston's convention centers, making it easier for attendees to get where they want to go, and helping to ensure higher standards and superior service. For meeting planners, attendees and taxi drivers, the Taxi Rewards program is an unqualified winner! |
