Meeting planners familiar with Boston consider it a top-tier convention city offering more advantages than any other convention destination in North America. Two of the best reasons for this view are Boston's extraordinary world-class convention centers -- the Hynes Convention Center and the award-winning Boston Convention & Exhibition Center (BCEC). It's an unbeatable combination that attracts record-breaking crowds. And this year will be no exception, with an unprecedented total of almost one million conventioneers coming to Boston in 2008!

Today Boston is easier to get to and get around than ever before, because accessibility has become one of Boston's major assets. Excellent air, rail, and bus connections are now available to Boston from all major metropolitan areas. Which means you can get a greater number of qualified attendees to Boston in a two-hour time frame than you can in any other convention city in North America.

So whether your attendees are flying in from Europe, taking the train or bus into the city, driving interstate highways like 93/95 to connect with Boston's newly reconstructed roadways, or even coming by boat to our Black Falcon cruise terminal, getting to Boston is a convenient and stress-free experience.

The BCEC and the Hynes are closer to major transportation systems, and feature faster airport-to-convention-center travel times than any other city in the country. Attendees who take a cab from the airport can be at a convention in less than eight minutes!

And once here, your attendees will enjoy easy access to the rest of Boston. Boston is a compact city with the BCEC and Hynes just 2 miles from one another and within 15-minutes of over 20,000 hotel rooms. Attendees can take advantage of a number of transportation options including Boston's excellent public transportation system, better known as the "T." Both the BCEC and Hynes are located right next to T stops.

In fact, Boston provides easy access to every in-city transportation solution your event will need. The transportation management team of the Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) and the convention services team of the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau (GBCVB) will help you design a transportation plan to meet all your requirements. From private limousines to chartered buses, we'll make sure you have the resources you need to move your attendees around the city.

Of course, they could always walk. Boston is a compact city, and walking has always been a popular way to get around town. History and charm are everywhere, easily accessible by foot, which is why Boston is referred to as "America's Walking City." So when your attendees want to get out and see what the city has to offer, they're guaranteed an enjoyable experience.
