SOcial Responsibility

Conventions C.A.R.E.

Our Conventions C.A.R.E. program (Community Assistance by Responsible Events) donates non-perishable items from convention center events to non-profit organizations throughout Boston. The program is offered both at the BCEC and at the Hynes.

By participating to Conventions C.A.R.E., exhibitors are saved the time and expense of shipping unneeded goods after a show ends. Not only are their materials put to good re-use, but they also cut back on their event's environmental impact by diverting waste from local landfills.

It's easy! At the end of an exhibition, bright blue bins are spread around the show floor at Product Donation Stations.

Common donation items include office products, medical supplies, convention bags, clothing, toiletries and classroom materials.

These items are sent to local non-profits such as Julie's Family Learning Center, a community-based family support and education program, and Youth Enrichment Services, a program to engage urban kids in positive outdoor recreation.

Through our Conventions C.A.R.E. program, we stay green and give back to our community at the same time!
